When you contact me If you get in touch by email, I will receive your name, email address, and anything you choose to share in your message. I use this only to respond to your enquiry and, if we agree to work together, to arrange sessions.

If the website uses cookies (for example, through WordPress or any embedded tools), these may collect anonymised data about how pages are visited. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.


How I Use Your Information

I use the information you share with me to:

  • Respond to your enquiry
  • Arrange and manage counselling sessions
  • Keep records required by my professional obligations as a BACP member

Counselling is a confidential service. However, there are limited circumstances in which I may be required to share information without your consent — for example, if I believe there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, or if required to do so by a court. Where possible, I would discuss this with you first.

This is consistent with the BACP Ethical Framework, which governs my practice.


How Long I Keep Your Information

I retain client records for seven years following the end of our work together, in line with professional guidance. Enquiries that do not lead to sessions are deleted within six months.


Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information I hold about you
  • Ask me to correct inaccurate information
  • Ask me to delete your information (subject to my professional obligations)
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis for processing
